When is the right time to study for the lsat?

Freshman or junior year of college?
I am thinking to use the PowerScore bible and tutor any other suggestions?

My major is history and minor in philosophy. Can my major help in any way?

More towards your junior year would be better. If you start studying your freshman year, you will either forget everything, or burn out on the LSAT.

I’m a huge fan of both LSAT Bibles, so you can’t go wrong there. I’d say think about a tutor or a course only if you feel like you need points that you can’t get while studying on your own. Your practice test scores will tell you whether or not you need to go that route.

Your minor in philosophy will help because you will get exposed to general logic, and some of the terms and reasoning forms that appear on the LSAT. Just remember that in philosophy no one times you whereas on the LSAT they do, so you may have to make some adjustments when applying your philosophy knowledge to the LSAT.
